Reservations

Reservations are recommended for weekends and holidays. For your convenience, reserved rafts will be held until 11:00 a.m. We normally stop renting rafts at 1:30 p.m., depending on river flows. Please submit reservations at least 48 hours before you would like to go rafting. If there is less time than that, we may not be able to respond in time if there is a problem.

Use

Rentals may only be used on the Lower American River, from Sunrise Blvd. To the take-out at River Bend Park. We do not offer overnight rentals.

Safety

Inherent physical risks are involved in rafting. These risks can be minimized by always wearing a life jacket. Children under 13 years old must wear a life jacket at all times. For your child's safety we require children to weigh at least 40 lbs and be 5 years or older.

Hours of Operation

Open May through September, from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m. if conditions allow. Check times, weather and river conditions before you come.

Parking

We offer plenty of on-site parking for rental customers only. Weekend and Holiday parking is $5 per vehicle, otherwise parking is free for raft rental customers. We recommend that you do not leave valuables in your car. American River Raft Rentals is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles.

Shuttle

Return Shuttle Service from River Bend Park is $5 per person for rental customers only. Shuttle tickets must be purchased in advance when you rent your raft. California law prohibits pets on shuttle buses.

Times and pick-up locations are subject to change without notice, so please check shuttle times before you go rafting.

Deposit Required

A credit card deposit of $100 is required per rental contract. Have a valid Driver License and Credit Card ready.

Payment Accepted

Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Cash. Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.
